Claire (aka Mumm-ra, aka Mama Bird) Co-owner
What’s up?! I’m a long-time activist, humane educator, and animal rights lawyer. Beyond that, I'm an old Goth who loves 80's nostalgia, wiener dogs, garage sales and margaritas.
Jesse (aka Chef) Co-owner
Hola! I’ve spent most of my adult life in the food industry and crossed over into nonprofit and Vegan advocacy in 2020. I’m also a damn fine guitar player, if I do say so myself, and still identify as a band geek. ("Nerrrrrrrrd" - this is Claire)
A tale as old as time. Or 2016.
Okay, so basically here's what happened...
In 2016, Claire founded The Raven Corps, a nonprofit organization for total liberation youth activists. Through the org, Claire and Jesse supported hundreds of young people and ran a whole bunch of awesome consistent anti-oppression campaigns. But in 2024 they lost their big, billionaire donor because…get this… they were advocating for an end to the g-cide in Gaza. So Jesse and Claire put their heads together and thought “what if we started making delicious vegan treats to raise money for The Corps/our new project, Vegans Against Fascism, and then we don't have to beg mega rich donors who are totally co-opting our social justice movements for money anymore?!" And they did! And that's how Cool Kids Snack Cakes was born!
The End
(but really, it's just the beginning 🙂)
Cami (AKA Sourdough)
Hey! I’m a Conspirator at The Raven Corps and former kid who grew up on Star Trek (the original AND Next Gen). I’ve been involved with the cool kids over at The Corps since 2019. It has been an integral part of my growth as both an activist and as a human. I am forever grateful for the community and experiences I’ve gained through my time with TRC!
Onyx (AKA Spookyboithelankyboi)
Yo! I’ve been a Conspirator at The Raven Corps for almost a year but have been involved over here since 2022. It’s been so awesome to have a community of people who are just as weird, nerdy, and geeky about things as I am. Oh, and them being vegans who care about all social justice helps.
Anata (AKA Nana)
Hey heyy! I’m a food fanatic and a student: two ingredients ripe for TRC deliciousness. TRC has helped me better understand who I am, the world, and the creatures around me through radical action and compassion.
Kimi (AKA Kimbuch)
I’ve been a Raven since 2020. TRC has been the biggest asset to my involvement in collective activism and engagement with other likeminded individuals who are passionate. The people I have met, the lessons and education I have had both the gift of receiving and giving to others, and the community that this space has given me means more than I can put into words. Without TRC, there would be no safe spaces for youth activists to discover and be in collaboration with one another.
